GrubHub Application Process

- Must be min 19 years of age, Min 21 years in Chicago.
- at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Using iPhone using at least iOS 10 OR an Android with 4.0 or higher.

Working as a GrubHub Driver
Drivers have to schedule a delivery block for the onboarding process. It’s optional, but the company prefers drivers who schedule blocks.
The scheduled drivers will receive priority. Drivers need to keep a lookout for dropped blocks so that you can claim a spot.
If drivers will drop their block, It would be available for other drivers to make. The company uses it to prevent an oversaturation of drivers.

1. Accepting Deliveries
Drivers should get into the position if schedule a delivery block. The app will start to send you deliveries if you are in a predefined delivery zone.
You need to identify where your delivery boundary is for your unique location by opening the app and then click on the bars located in the upper right-hand corner, then select “View Region Boundaries”.
If you want to start accepting orders, you need to set your status to “Taking Offers”. Slide the red dot from “Unavailable” to “Taking Offers” if the next screen pops up.
The app will send offers to you if you are you are ready. There will be a cowbell if an offer comes. It will be sent in a 90-second countdown.
It may be taken another driver if within that time you do not accept the order. You should know that the customer and restaurant location are your own before accepting the order.
The app will show you how much is your earning. If you accept the order, so the app directly guides you to the restaurant.
When you want to enter the restaurant, do not forget to bag and click “Arrived”. Take the order then click “Got Order” and “Leaving”.
Then the app will direct you to the customer’s location. If you arrive at the destination, you need to click “Arrived” and deliver the order.
