Lyft Rental Rewards Requirements

Lyft Rental Rewards Program allows you to be a Lyft driver without having to own a car. Of course, you need to pay for the rent but there are programs like Lyft rental rewards that may help to cover the cost. So, not owning a car doesn’t mean you can’t work as a Lyft driver. In fact, you can do so with Lyft’s Express Driver.

There are some requirements for the driver to get this rental rewards programs such as ride count, peak ride, and acceptance rate. Lyft drivers will have a chance to get rewards if they meet the requirements.

What Is Lyft Express?

Let’s start with Lyft Express first. What exactly is this program? If we have to describe Lyft Express in a single sentence, it will be this: a rental-car program.

The cars that can be rented are not owned by Lyft. Rather, they come from Lyft’s affiliates such as Avis, Hertz, and Flexdrive.

There is no long-term or set commitment for the length of the rental. Despite these, maintenance and insurance cost is included in the car’s rental cost.

The cost varies depending on where you live. This cost is charged weekly to the driver’s credit card that has been filed to Lyft. The rental cost can be reduced with Lyft Rental Rewards.

What Are Lyft Rental Rewards?

It is a bonus that a can use to reduce the rental cost. To qualify for Rental Rewards each weed, a driver must meet all three requirements.

Lyft app provides the drivers to monitor their progress.. Just go to the Driver Dashboard and you should be able to see the requirements as well as your progress.

What you need to know is that the Rental Rewards bonus is automatically added to your earnings. Let’s say that you meet the requirements for this week.

Then, your earnings for this week will be added with the Rental Rewards. The bonus should cover most of the rental charges sans rental taxes.

Lyft Rental Rewards Requirements

There are three requirements that must be met if a driver is to receive Rental Rewards. These requirements are ride count, peak ride, and acceptance rate. Let’s get to each one.

1. Ride Count

You have to meet the required number of completed rides of a given week to be eligible for the Rental Rewards.

A ride is considered complete when you successfully picked up the passenger and dropped them off on the destination.

If you are a Lyft Line driver, you need to drop off the passenger on the route to complete a ride.

2. Peak Ride

There is also a peak ride count as well. A peak ride is a ride that is requested during the busiest hours. In other words, when the demand for rides reaches its highest.

You should know that these hours can vary from time to time and from place to place. If you want to be qualified for Rental Rewards, make sure you don’t miss these hours.

3. Acceptance Rate

Finally, to be qualified for Rental Rewards, a driver must have a 90% acceptance rate and maintain it. Remember, an accepted ride is a ride request that you don’t cancel or ignore.

If you keep accepting incoming ride requests, it shouldn’t be that hard to maintain a 90% acceptance rate. If you cannot maintain the 90% rate, you will not be eligible for the Rental Rewards.

Remember that these requirements are accessed weekly. So if you didn’t qualify for Rental Rewards this week, you can still try to meet the requirements for the next week.

If you meet the requirements, then you will get your Rental Rewards bonus.

Lyft Rental Rewards Summary

In summary, there are three requirements you need to meet if you want to qualify for Lyft Rental Rewards.

These requirements are: meeting minimum ride count, meeting the peak ride requirement, and maintain an accepted ride rate of 90%.
