The amount of Booking Fee is typically around $2.40 and this fee is Nonrefundable.

Uber uses a booking fee system to cover its operational cost, so there is no advice for you to avoid this Booking Fee. Just make sure when you use Uber, think about this fee in your budget.

Uber Fees: Cleaning Fee

Don’t once make a dirty driver’s vehicle or make a mess in a driver’s vehicle while using Uber or you will charger a Cleaning fee.

The amount of Cleaning Fee is $20–$150. And there is a major issue about cleaning fee:

  • $20 to make a small interior mess that requires simple cleaning or vacuuming.
  • $40 to make a moderate exterior mess.
  • $80 for the moderate interior mess, such as vomit, large food/beverage spill.
  • $150 for the major bodily fluid mess. This can cause by an incident that requires cleaning inside of doors or air vents of the car

Be a good passenger and stay away from this fee. If you do nothing, so nothing messes in the car. The driver should upload the photo of the situations when they claim a Cleaning Fee. So make sure the car is in good condition when you get a ride when the driver.

Did you ever lose or miss an item in the driver’s car when using Uber services? If yes, you may be charged a Lost Item Fee to your driver to return a lost item to you. This fee not charged in all cities.

You can request a loose item help within the Uber app. Just open the app and go to the menu > Your Trips the select the trip where you lost an item. Tap “I Lost An Item” and complete the form. After that, your driver will contact you and schedule to meet him to get your item back.

My advice to avoid this fee is careful and be quiet when getting a ride with Uber. Make sure you enjoy the trip and not rush your self so you will keep your item safe and completely taken after complete the ride.

Uber Fees: Airport Fees And Surcharge

Uber charged an Airport Surcharge for users if they request to getting picked up or dropped off at the airport.

The amount of Airport Surcharge is Around $4.

How to Avoid Airport Surcharge

Airport Fees and Surcharges are included in Uber Fare. You must pay this fee when you are in the airport location, get a pick-up or dropped off. You can avoid this fee if you go outside the airport when getting a pick-up or dropped off then you go to the airport by yourself.

Toll charges

This fee is a toll cost when using uber service. The Toll charges costs are typically included in the fare that you must pay to Uber.

The amount of Toll Charges is the passengers pay for tolls.

These fees above may be issued by the driver or issued automatically. You can make a dispute for Cancellation Fee, Wait Time Fee, and Cleaning fee. But you can’t make a dispute for Booking Fee, Lost Item Fee, Airport Fee, and Toll Charges.

To make a dispute for Uber Fee just tap the menu icon (☰) Inside the Uber app. Tap “Your Trips” then tap the trip in question and Select “Review my Fare or Fees”. Choose the appropriate and relevant menu item then complete the form.

You may also contact the Uber for further action related to the disputes. They will happy to help you and solve the case about the error in fees.
