Is Working For Deliv Worth It: Deliv Review

December 17, 2020 By Ridelancer

Today, there are a lot of delivery gig jobs out there. One of them is from Deliv. If you are considering to be a Deliv driver, you probably want to know the answer to this question: Is working for Deliv worth it? Here, we will tell you some of Deliv’s selling points so you can decide whether or not the delivery gig is worth it.

Deliv is a same-day delivery service that allows anyone to have anything delivered at any time. If you are working as a Deliv driver, your job is to pick up goods (from packages, food, to flowers) and deliver them to the customers.

What about the pay? The expected hourly pay of a Deliv driver is between $10 and $12 plus mileage and tips. What is interesting is that Deliv drivers have guaranteed payment which they will receive even if they don’t have any deliveries provided that they are signed in and are available to do deliveries.

Is Working For Deliv Worth It?

The answer is it depends. Deliv has various selling points, which may or may not interest you. First and foremost is flexibility. Deliv allows you to work in a schedule that you set on your own. In fact, you can even set your delivering hours a week ahead of time. This makes your working hours more predictable and thus, more manageable.

The next selling point is that Deliv has a Minimum Settlement Program. This program guarantees Deliv drivers payment based on half of their Time on Task rate even if they don’t get any deliveries.

While other delivery apps allow you to start and end your working hours whenever you want, you will only get paid if you get delivery requests. With Deliv, you will always earn the minimum settlement amount provided that you are signed in and available to do deliveries.

Because of Deliv’s Minimum Settlement Program, your earning as a Deliv driver is more stable. There is a tradeoff, however. The tradeoff of the more stable earning is that the working shifts are limited. In other words, you may not be able to work whenever you want.

No need to deal with passengers

Another selling point of Deliv is that you don’t have to deal with passengers. The job of Deliv drivers is, after all, to deliver the item. You pick up the item from the retailer, go to the customer’s location, and drop off the item. That’s all. No need to deal with passengers, unlike another ridesharing service.

Lastly, the more lax requirements. The requirements to be a Deliv driver are not as strict and difficult to meet as other delivery apps. Signing up is easy and the application process is fast. If you are interested in working in a delivery gig, working as a Deliv driver surely is worth a try.

So, is working for Deliv worth it? If you are looking for a flexible delivery gig with a more predictable earning, then the answer is yes. Keep in mind that the flexibility Deliv offers is different from other delivery apps.

You are allowed to determine your own schedule but you are not able to start or end your work whenever you want. You must stick with your confirmed schedule.
